Counseling with room
for your whole experience.

We can start with what’s happening in your life and what it feels like to be you inside it.

I provide graduate-level counseling for adult South Carolina residents through Everyday Wellness SC, under clinical supervision.

What you might bring

“I understand it.
Why does it still
feel this hard?”

You might recognize a familiar reaction as it’s happening and still struggle to find any space around it. You know you’re people-pleasing, overexplaining, or taking responsibility for someone else’s feelings. In the moment, it can feel difficult to do anything else.

Perhaps anxiety keeps you replaying conversations or watching for signs that something has changed. A difficult relationship may leave you second-guessing your needs, your boundaries, or your own perspective.

We can explore overthinking, emotional reactivity, people-pleasing, overfunctioning, and attachment and relationship patterns at a pace that works for you. You can also bring the concerns that don’t fit neatly into a category.

Context belongs in the room

Your reactions have
a context.

Your history may be getting activated. You may also be responding to real inconsistency, emotional unavailability, poor treatment, conflict, loss, or circumstances that are genuinely hard.

I’m interested in understanding both. We can look at what happens inside you while staying attentive to what is happening around you. That includes making room for your own sense of what feels okay and what needs attention.

How we work together

We pay attention
to what’s here.

A conversation you help shape

You can bring something that just happened, a pattern you keep noticing, or a feeling you can’t quite put into words. We’ll slow things down together and follow what feels useful to explore.

You may already have a great deal of insight. My role is to listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you hear yourself more clearly.

Room for different ways of understanding

My approach draws on parts-informed work, somatic awareness, relational work, compassionate inquiry, and mindfulness-based approaches. We may notice a physical response, explore a competing feeling, or stay with the meaning a situation has for you.

You don’t need to know Internal Family Systems or use parts terminology. We can use everyday language and find a way of working that makes sense to you.
