Many of us spend years trying to outrun, fix, manage, or silence the parts of ourselves that feel anxious, overwhelmed, angry, stuck, or not enough.
We tell ourselves we should be stronger, calmer, more confident, or somehow different than we are. Over time, that can turn into a constant battle with ourselves.
In my experience, meaningful change begins when we slow down and become curious about what is happening underneath the patterns we want so badly to change.
There is usually a reason we overthink, shut down, become reactive, carry too much, or struggle to feel settled. These patterns often developed during times when they helped us cope, connect, or get through something difficult. Understanding them can help us begin relating to ourselves with more compassion and create room for something new.
I am a Graduate Level Counselor at Everyday Wellness SC and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I see clients under clinical supervision as part of my graduate training.
Before entering the counseling profession, I spent more than eleven years in private practice as a traditional naturopath and holistic coach. That work gave me a deep appreciation for the connection between our emotional well-being, physical health, relationships, and lived experiences. It continues to shape the way I understand healing and the importance of caring for the whole person.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, overthinking, emotional reactivity, relationship concerns, family-of-origin patterns, self-esteem struggles, and difficult life transitions. I am especially drawn to working with people who feel responsible for everyone around them or exhausted from trying to hold everything together on their own.
You do not need to understand exactly why you feel the way you do before reaching out. You may only know that you are tired of feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in the same patterns.
That is enough of a place to begin.
Outside of counseling, I am a mom of four who loves reading, going to the mountains, caring for my plants, and spending time with my family and my Maltese, Penny. I also believe deeply in the restorative power of a good nap and am always happy to unwind with an episode of The Real Housewives after a long day.
I am currently accepting new counseling clients who live in South Carolina through my graduate training and supervision site, Everyday Wellness SC, located at 801 Gervais St, Suite 2B, Columbia, SC 20201.
As a Graduate Level Counselor, I provide counseling under clinical supervision while completing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
My work may be a good fit for you if you are struggling with:
Anxiety or persistent overthinking
Stress and overwhelm
Emotional reactivity
Relationship concerns
Family-of-origin patterns
Self-esteem
Life transitions
Feeling responsible for everyone around you
Exhaustion from trying to hold everything together
Feeling stuck without knowing exactly what needs to change
You do not need to arrive with the right words or a clear explanation of what is happening. We can begin with what you are feeling now and explore the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be shaping it.
